Hopatcong Marketplace Terms & Regulations
(PLEASE READ CAREFULLY) All ten 2022 Hopatcong Marketplace markets mentioned in this registration form, are a fundraiser for the Hopatcong Community Wellness Center which benefits the people of Hopatcong! All ten Markets (except for the Holiday Market on December 10th) are open to the public from noon to 4pm. The Holiday Market is open 3-8pm.
ARRIVAL: Vendors will receive an arrival time schedule a few days before each event.
MONTHLY SUNDAY MARKETS: Vendors will drive into the lot through the DPW entrance at 120 River Styx Rd., Hopatcong, NJ 07843. Vendors will park their vehicle where instructed and set up next to their vehicle.
SATURDAY MARKETS IN THE PARK (Maxim Glen/Modick Park): Along with the arrival schedule, vendors will be assigned an unload zone. There will most-likely be helpers to assist with unloading and carting things to vendor spaces within the park. Before setting up, each vendor must move their vehicle(s) to the designated vendor parking area.
We only provide the space. Vendors will need to bring their own tables, chairs and all staging items, plus a tent/canopy if desired. Tent weights are required if you do (at least 10lbs per tent leg, although more is better!). Small generators and portable propane heaters (for the cold days!) are allowed, however, fire extinguishers are required. The Fire Marshal does visit the market and will check!
Vendors are asked and encouraged to have their space open for the duration of the sale day. Any premature signs of vendor packing can make the remaining customers uneasy and tends to deter any last minute shopping. If you decide to pack up early, that is your choice, however on Sundays, driving through the vending area is not permitted until the market closes at 4pm. If you do not follow this rule, you will not be welcome back for the remainder of your scheduled dates and you will not be refunded.
Pets are welcome at the market! However, they must be leashed and supervised at all times. Pet owners take complete and full responsibility for their pet's actions. Farm to Art FUN, the Borough of Hopatcong and its principles, agents, officers and employees take no responsibility.
Vendors are responsible for cleaning up their area at the end of each market, and ensuring that all garbage/debris has been removed.
Please make sure your space is staffed at all times. We understand that circumstances and emergencies happen, but if you leave your space unattended we are not responsible for any loss and/or damage that may occur.
Vendors are responsible for calculating and reporting any and all applicable sales tax on vendor’s merchandise.
Vendor grants permission to Farm to art FUN and Borough of Hopatcong to use images of Vendor Space and items for any purpose in connection with promoting the Hopatcong Marketplace. Vendor grants Farm to art FUN and Borough of Hopatcong permission to use his/her name(s), and any other information in order to promote the Marketplace.
All vendors are welcome - Farms, Food Vendors, Crafters, Makers, Artisans, Artists, Direct Sales Vendors, Local Businesses, Vintage Dealers and Community Groups! However, it is discouraged for vendors to resale dollar store/grocery store items. For Example: paper goods (toilet paper, paper plates, ect.), laundry detergent, bleach, cleansers, hand soap, sanitizer, shampoo, conditioner, baby formula, diapers, wipes, etc. If we hear any complaints about expired items being sold, a warning will be issued. If it continues the vendor will not be able to come back and no refund will be issued. New gift items, handmade items and vintage items are all welcome.
All Food Vendors must have the proper permits as deemed necessary and in accordance with Sussex County Department of Health and the Hopatcong Fire Department. All permits must be presented prior to vendor set-up. Once permission is granted by Sussex County Department of Health, vendor will email a copy of permission over to Farm to Art FUN at firstname.lastname@example.org. A Fire extinguisher is required when a generator is in use. All food vendors who prepare food on premise need to have a hand washing station.
