Hopatcong Marketplace Holiday Market in the Park - December 19th - CANCELED: We are sad to announce that Holiday Market in the Park scheduled for this Saturday, December 19th has been canceled due to the major snowstorm heading our way. We want to wish you all a Wonderful Holiday Season and a Happy and Healthy 2021! THANK YOU for making the 2020 season of the Hopatcong MarketPlace a huge success!!! We had fun and we hope you did too! See you next year at the Marketplace!
Hopatcong Marketplace Holiday Market in the Park Based on the continued success of the Hopatcong Marketplace, the Town Council has decided to extend the Marketplace once again! This time the Marketplace will move down the street to Modick Park on December 12th from 3pm to 9pm (rain or shine) and Maxim Glen Park on December 19th from noon to 4pm (postponed from December 5th). Thankfully Hopatcong Mayor, Mike Francis, has received approval from NJ State Representatives to continue on with the two December Holiday Markets after the recent change to outdoor event restrictions. “We have been a home to so many vendors during these uncertain times and have been able to provide a place for them to sell their goods and help their businesses thrive!” says Joyce Guarducci, Volunteer and Owner of Talullah’s Treasure. “So many events have been canceled after the tightening of restrictions that continuing on and giving the community some sense of normalcy while following guidelines is more important than ever!” states Jim Puccio, Chairman of the Volunteer Committee and Owner of Queen of the Hill Farm.
Holiday Market in the Park brings the Hopatcong Marketplace to a new location that will create a more festive atmosphere for shopping and celebrating the holidays. Stroll along the meandering pathways as you visit and shop with a variety of local crafters, artisans and small businesses. Enjoy a meal and bring home some goodies from the different food vendors who will be set up along Nariticong Ave. during each of the two Holiday Markets.
December 12th (Rain or Shine) in Modick Park includes the town tree lighting and Santa visit from 6pm to 8pm organized by the Hopatcong Recreation Department. Head of the department, Cathy Millian, has joined forces with the Marketplace to help spread some holiday cheer with free hot chocolate, prepackaged cookies and ornaments for the kids!
December 19th in Maxim Glen Park will feature DJ Tony Dean from Tony Dean's Doowop Cruise! Tony will add to the atmosphere with some holiday music to help shoppers get in a festive mood!
You too can bring some holiday magic to the market by donating a new unwrapped toy to the Hopatcong Cub Scout Pack 88 collection for Toys for Tots! Other fundraisers at Holiday Market in the Park include: • Hopatcong Firehouse #4: Christmas Tree Sale • Hopatcong Firehouse #3: 50/50 • Hopatcong Ambulance Squad: Custom Stocking Fundraiser. • Hopatcong Girl Scouts will be collecting new hats and gloves for adults and children (Dec 12th only). • Plus, just as the Hopatcong Marketplace has been all year, Holiday Market in the Park is a fundraiser for the Hopatcong Community Center!
